Outstanding high school instrumentalists are invited for membership in the Pomona Conert Band.  Reading and performing a wide repertoire under skilled leadership promotes their musical growth as well as supplementing the band's membership.  PCB appreciates the support of the Pomona Unified School District in this aspect of our program.

Linda W. Taylor Linda W. Taylor has been a member of the Pomona Concert Band since 1968.  During that tenure she has held the Solo Clarinet chair, was Assistant Conductor for several seasons, and since 1983 has played in the Tuba section.  In March, 2006, she was appointed Conductor and Musical Director of the band.

In addition to playing in the PCB she is a founding member and co-manager of the Golden State British Brass Band, and plays tuba annually in the Colorado Brass Band, as well as in several brass bands in England.

Prior to her retirement in 1998 Linda taught Instrumental Music in the Baldwin Park Unified School District for 30 years.  During those years she garnered a long list of professonal honors and awards and guided the internship of ten new teachers.
